This Saturday, November 1 is set aside for men's fellowship. Head over to Corine's (559 E Plaza Dr.) in Mooresville. Bring a buddy at 8:30am for a morning of breakfast and fellowship.

This Sunday, November 2 Daylight Savings time ends for the year. Your phone will change for you, but remember to reset your alarm clock back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night.

November 2 is Gideon Sunday! The Gideons International exists for the production and distribution of the Bible throughout the world. It only costs $5 to send one Bible, so I have a suggestion. Give $5 in honor of one lost loved one. This can be an act of faith, believing that God's Word will reach that friend or family member who is in need of salvation.

Thank you to everyone who contributed treats for our first responders. This was a way to show our gratitude for all they do to keep us safe. Speaking of gratitude, our focus for November is showing gratitude. There will be a new daily devotional about building gratitude and some thankful suggestions each week.

In our planning session, we decided that this year, Thanks Day would be combined with 5th Sunday Breakfast. Sunday, November 30th will be breakfast and Bible study in the fellowship hall. This is a great time to invite those for whom you are thankful - begin now!

Only a few weeks remain for us to donate items for the shoeboxes. November is designated for socks. There are three age groups - 2-4, 5-9, 10-14 - for you to choose to purchase for. Thank you for all that you have contributed so far!

February - toothbrushes, floss

March - toy

April - soap, washclothes

May - coloring books, crayons

June - jump rope

July - toiletries

August - school supplies

September - ball or doll

October - hair care

November - box and sox
