  • guest speaker

On the first Sunday we are blessed to have Dr. Tatum as our guest speaker. Each Sunday in January, we will be in the fellowship hall for Bible study. Dr. Tatum will kick off our study of the fruit of the Spirit. Take a look at the book of Galatians, especially chapter 5, to prepare for the study.

  • first sunday meal

This Sunday, Jan 4 is First Sunday Meal! The theme will be "Bojangles" - chicken, biscuits, sides, and sweet tea. This is a suggestion, not a mandate, but it can be fun to embrace the theme. Invite plenty of guests with you to enjoy this first meal of the new year!

  • men's fellowship

The men will begin again with their time of fellowship on Saturday, Jan 10th (the day our fast begins!). They will meet at 8:30am at Golden Corral in Mooresville. Bring a dad, brother, or friend with you to this time of food and fellowship.

  • Janary focus

As we begin our new month and new year (!) we shift our focus. January is dedicated to 21 days of prayer and fasting. We have decided to start on January 10, but you may need to/want to start earlier. There are fasting resources on the Resources tab of the CCOG website. On Jan 1 look for the new daily devo on the CCOG page of the Bible app.

  • ministry opportunities

We have the chance to be a blessing in the month of January. Journey Church is offering "A Room at the Inn" for our homeless neighbors. Volunteer opportunities are available on Friday, Jan 16 and Saturday, Jan 17. Needs are cooking, serving, and clean-up, just to name a few. I will send you the link if you are available to help.

  • Operation christmas child

It's that time again - donations for the shoeboxes start back in January! Bring any unwanted shoeboxes you may have gotten over the holiday, give cash for shipping the boxes, or bring the suggested January donation of warm accessories. This could be caps, scarves, gloves, or other warm items.
