guest speaker
As
always, our year opens with a guest speaker. Dr. Tatum will join us to lead
Bible study in the fellowship hall! We will begin 2026 with a discussion of the
fruit of the Spirit, so take a look at the book of Galatians to prepare your
discussions and questions. Invite friends and family to join you for this day
and the whole month of January.
first sunday meal
Our first First Sunday meal of the year is coming in a couple of weeks - Jan 4th! People entered their suggestions for a theme, so January will be "Bojangles Day". This can include chicken, biscuits (Bo-berry or plain), and various sides. You are welcome to make these from scratch or purchase them - whatever is best for you.
men's fellowship
The
men will begin again with their time of fellowship on Saturday, Jan 10th (the
day our fast begins!). They will meet at 8:30am at Golden Corral in
Mooresville. Bring a dad, brother, or friend with you to this time of food and
fellowship.
Janary fasting
As we enter a new year, we
replace the feasting of the holiday season with fasting. Our 21-day fast will
begin on Jan 10th and continue through the end of the month. Begin now to pray
about what the Lord would want you to sacrifice and what your prayer focus will
be.

Our sermon series is all about gifts. Our daily devotional for this December is "Christmas Presence". So this month, we are focusing on giving of ourselves. God has given us all kinds of gifts, so let's find ways to share these with one another.

HELP FOR THE HOMELESS
| CCOG has been invited to participate with Journey Church in helping our homeless neighbors. They will be hosting homeless guests at their church in Huntersville on Friday, Jan 16th into Saturday morning, Jan 17th. There are several roles to fill on Friday and/or Saturday. I will send the sign-up to anyone who is interested. |
